LJM VA Services Ltd was founded in January 2018 by Director Lauren McAlpine, an Executive Assistant expert with more than 15 years of experience under her belt, she believed remote working was something beneficial to both clients and assistants to offer a better work/life balance. Though the business started off small it has grown rapidly over the last 5 years attracting the attention of global companies across a wide range of sectors delivering time and cost-saving processes and assistance, consistently to a high standard.
Lauren has never forgotten her roots and has ensured LJM VA Services continues to offer the same high standard of service to small one-person businesses and charities, often free of charge to the latter. Sustainability is always at the forefront of our minds; we are forward-thinking with our own pledges as well as supporting outside initiatives. As a ‘virtual’ service we have reduced our carbon footprint, working from a home office 4 days a week can reduce nitrogen dioxide emissions by around 10%. We are also a fully digital/paperless company reducing waste, deforestation, reduced use of water and reduced CO2. One study found that processing invoices digitally can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 63% per transaction.
Charity is extremely important to LJM VA Services and each financial year we choose a charity to support. Most recently, we partnered with The Trussell Trust foodbank initiative, supporting them with free PA support, food parcel contributions and deliveries. Our charity of the year this year is The Yard Scotland, a small charity supporting children and young people aged 0-25 with disabilities, providing an environment where they can freely play without judgement or boundaries.
LJM VA Services is a fully flexible business support and Virtual Assistant service offering a wide range of support including traditional PA support, event management, social media management and support with financial tasks. We apply a highly efficient and organised approach to every piece of work and have over 70 years of combined experience within our team. LJM headquarters is in Scotland but due to our rapid growth, we now support clients globally in the UK, Europe, Singapore, and the USA to name a few with our highly experienced Virtual Assistants based in Scotland, England, and Mexico City.
Our relationship with clients is long-term and built to last. We work hard to understand our clients’ needs and preferences on a deeper level ensuring we represent their brand to the highest degree. As a company we issue an annual feedback survey, receiving a 5-star response across the board with over 80 recipients completing the survey. In the last 12 months, we have provided over 12,000 hours of support to our clients, and we have developed strategies to improve efficiencies in over 15 companies globally.
Our goal is to continue to build on our strong brand which represents our sustainability values and strong female leadership ethics. We aim to automate our strategies through software that is not currently in the marketplace and develop and train people worldwide to be their own boss, find positive work/life balance and most importantly feel like a valued member of society.
